You don’t need a visa to enter or travel in Greece, but make certain that your passport will be valid for at least a few months beyond the conclusion of our trip. It’s a good idea to make two photocopies of the main page of your passport. Leave one of them at home with a friend or relative you can easily contact. Take the other one with you.

When I’m in Greece, I lock my actual passport in my room’s safe (if there is one) and carry only the photocopy. Some travelers prefer to keep their passport on their person—in some kind of secure pouch or bag. One way or the other, it’s smart to have a photocopy in some location other than where your passport itself is.
